The Art of Dying; Life

"Life is the art of dying."

Death is a rather feared event. But, like ATTICUS said, life itself is the art of dying. 

Death is a very interesting muse for poetry. There are many ways to see it and many ways to write about it. I tried writing about it, and I will try again but enjoy this one for now. :)

Why does one fear death?

What more is death than

Just the next great adventure?

What one fears isn't death.

Rather the thought of leaving

Behind everything you own.

But in this world,

There is nothing you own 

Other than yourself.

The owner of everything

Is the one who lives with nothing;

Death.

Why fear him?

For he isn't a monster

Or an imposter.

For he is the gentleman

Who guides you onto

The next journey.

For he is the teacher

Who teaches us

The art of dying,

That is,

LIFE.
