*Just so you all know, the idea of this is not my own, I found it on PINTEREST, but it was a very short and not too elaborated paragraph in the form of a story. But the idea was just soooooo cute and goood, so I wanted to make it into a story. I just gave this plot a few characters and described the scenes the way I imagined them. The link to the original is mentioned down below.*

It is funny how coincidence works. I don't think that I should give this story an introduction, so just read it to find it out for yourself.

Photograph

Sarah, an eight-year-old, was playing in the playground. She was chasing a few butterflies until she ran into a bush. She found a photograph of a little boy in the bush. The boy had red hair and big blue eyes like sapphires. She was so in awe of the photo that she decided to keep it. Forever.

Fifteen years later.

Sarah now has a husband and a family and a job as an HR manager in a big company. She is living the life of her dreams and is content with where she stands. It’s been so long that she’s completely forgotten about the photograph she committed to all those years ago, but she still has it. Safe inside her wallet.

One day, while Sarah was cooking in the kitchen, her husband came up to her, “Sarah, do you have some spare cash?” Sarah says, “yeah, I have some in my wallet. Can you take it from my bag? I’m busy making lunch.” Her husband nods and goes inside their room to get her bag. Sarah puts the curry onto the stove and begins copping cucumbers for salad.

Sarah’s husband comes into the living room with a photograph in his hands while shoving the cash into his pocket. Sarah looks up and asks him what was the matter. He walks into the kitchen and shows her the photograph and asks, “who’s this little boy? I found this in your wallet.” Sarah takes the photograph from him and holds it her hands, her memories rushing back to her. She turns to her husband and answers his question, “my first love.” Her husband smiles knowingly, “and where did you find this?” Sarah tells him about falling into a bush and finding the photograph fifteen years ago. His smile becomes wider as he tells her, “I lost this picture when I was nine years old.”
