Overview of 'Malayali in London'

...Introduction...

I've been working on a novel for seven months now. The novel is titled 'Malayali in London'. And good news! The novel is finally finished! I'll be posting the story on the blog part by part on every Monday. It'll be like an episode in a weekly magazine.

The main characters of the story are Indrakshi, Theo and Sawyer. The story is set in London, where the three go to college.

Here is overview of the story so that you know the main plot while you wait for each episode.

...Overview...

What happens when an Indian girl suddenly has to move to London?

Indrakshi is the daughter of a Malayali mother and a British father. Her father came to Kerala in the 1990s and has been working there ever since. Indrakshi was born and grew up in Thiruvananthapuram. She had never imagined life away from the shore, until she had to leave.

Indrakshi's father had got a job in London and the family had to move. They got there in May and Indrakshi found herself in an unfamiliar locality. Being a serious introvert, she finds it hard to approach people. That's why she surprized herself when she managed to make friends with a spanish boy named Theo. Indrakshi found it difficult to adjust to life in London. She was never the social butterfly and barely had any friends in college. Indrakshi wasn't a very nice person either. She did make a few friends in this new place but always missed the beach in Kerala.

Though to Indrakshi; Theo was her best friend, but Theo had more than friendship in mind. Things get complicated when Sawyer steps into the story. Indrakshi and Sawyer have a natural attraction which makes Theo insecure. And his insecurities are proven right when on Sawyer asks Indrakhsi out on a date on her Birthday. And she said yes.

Indrakshi has dreams of becoming a famous author and with years of patient effort, her dreams finally become reality.

Read along as Indrakshi narates the story of her life after moving to London and how she finally adjusts to life there and finds closure in the company of someone dear.

...Release...

This is my first novel so I'm really excited to have it finished, though I have no idea how to get that done. But I'll figure it out somehow. For now, the weekly episodes of the story will be posted every Monday.
